This was truly a great man and a fantastic grandad to our son Archie, there’s nothing he wouldn’t do for him. There relationship was not only connected but beautiful, when Archie was with grandad it would always be by his side , either walking, in the car , sitting on the couch and at the dinner table, and when they weren’t together Archie would call grandad every morning using the “Alexa” while getting ready for school.A true grandad and grandson relationship, Theirs nothing Phil wouldn’t do for Archie and when Phil got Archie into “Karate” , that was it, grandad would spar with him and train with him, Archie started to do competitions , grandad would be there , doesn’t matter how I’lll and sick Phil was with this horrible disease, he would find the strength, even training and belt gradings, Phil would be there. Sadly you passed on Saturday evening 14th March and Archie was in bits, he had a competition that Sunday. Archie woke Sunday morning asked to do the competition after saying no until blue in face , he kept saying it was you Phil to make you proud, I said your already proud , but I gave in. We went and after a few episodes of tears he fought and won a bronze medal. That night , Me , your beautiful daughter Kelly and your little ninja Archie sat in Archie’s room, and Archie spoke to your photo and told you about the competition and the medal was for you. I am so glad that you are Archie’s grandad and what you have taught him, believe me you will never be forgotten. Miss you Phil x I know we’re all in hard times but please donate a little something towards finding something to stop this horrible disease. Stay safe all x
